The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) offers a range of courses and research in the areas of Communication, Education and International Studies. It has a strong practice-orientated approach to learning with well established industry links and professional experiences placements in many of its courses. It also provides the opportunity for students across the university to internationalise their learning through a combined degree in International Studies. The Faculty is spread over two UTS campuses - Kuring-gai and Broadway.

FASS came into commission on 1 July 2008, as a result of a merger between the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Education and the Institute for International Studies. All staff, students and courses in these 3 areas are now part of the new Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
