Applications for How Big Are Your Dreams? are now open. Download the application form (PDF, 246kB). Applications close on 1 December 2010.
We also ask you to connect us to people who know you well – someone in your family; a friend; a teacher at school; and anyone else who supports you. Think about who understands you well and how you will ask them to support your application.
After you apply, a group of people from UTS, Gilbert + Tobin and Tranby will draw up a shortlist and ask you to meet us for an interview. We might also talk on the phone with the people you introduced us to so we can be confident that we’re making good decisions.
We will want to know that you can come to the camps and workshops that we have planned for you. Make sure you've checked out the program dates.
What will it be like?
It will be fun. And challenging. We don’t want to spoil the surprise of what we've got planned for you but we can give you some clues.
In 2009, a pilot of this program ran. It was really successful. The young people in the pilot called themselves Proud Aboriginal Kids of Today (opens an external site) or PAKT for short. They made a film together about racism and how hard it can be to be Aboriginal in Sydney. Check out the website that Hayden Anderson made to showcase the pilot – www.pakt.allaroundyou.com.au (opens an external site) - and watch Caught Between (opens an external site).

In their words
In 2009, we ran a pilot of this program. People like you participated. They tested it out so we could make it even better for you guys. We've made a few changes because of what they told us – most importantly, they said that we should have more camps. So we are!
Here's what they said about the program:
"I feel part of a big family."
"My mum forced me to apply but I’m really glad I did!"
"I wanna thank all of you for bein there for me I couldnt have done it with out you guys you have made a big impact in my life big thanks.”
"This is the best program I have ever been on and I am a new person and will be sad that it is coming to an end"
"I'm thankful and proud of my choices and it has been amazing helping me achieve so much more"
"The workers did really well with all the participants and taught us all so much"
"Making a movie was a great idea!"
"The program was very good and I hope I can be a part of the program in the future and stay in contact with everyone involved"
